What is the Difference between a Wedding Planner and a Day of Coordinator?

A wedding planner is involved in the entire planning process, from the initial stages (choosing a venue, designing decor, vendor selection) to the final details. They help with design, timelines, and logistics, and may even assist with coordinating the rehearsal and post-wedding activities.
A day-of coordinator, on the other hand, steps in closer to the wedding day and focuses specifically on managing the event on the big day itself. They ensure everything runs smoothly by overseeing the timeline, handling vendor coordination, and solving any issues that arise, but they are not involved in the detailed planning prior to the wedding.
