1. Enclose an Open Flame

If your wedding or event venue does not allow for open flame, they may approve if the flame is enclosed within a hurricane vase. Get the candlelit vibe without the fear of damage or disaster. Using a cylinder vase with a bottom will also protect your linens from the dripping wax.  Pillar candles and candlesticks fit nicely in these vases.

2. Floating Candles

Fill these vases with water and set a floating candle in each one for a romantic candlelit night! This is a super simple and inexpensive centerpiece option, but still elegant.

3. Baby's Breath

Baby's Breath is a classic wedding decoration flower, and is fairly inexpensive. We recommend buying your baby's breath from Costco. Trim down the pieces to varying heights and layer them in the vase. You may be wondering, does baby's breath float? Yes, yes it does. But using some clear glass gems to weight down the stems will keep them layered. Be sure to use cold water when filling these up. An alternative to using glass gems is filling in the extra space around the baby's breath with clear water beads. When you fill the glass with water the beads become "invisible" and looks like water.

4. Line the Aisle

Line the aisle with vases! This works best if your ceremony is happening on level ground. Whether its candles or flowers in the vases, both are absolutely gorgeous.

5. The Sweetheart Table

Make your Sweetheart table glow with cylinder hurricane vases filled with candles.  With this idea maximalism is key! The more vases you have the better, and varying sizes are a must!

6. Memorial Table

Light a candle for a loved one who is in heaven. Having a table dedicated to those who have past is a sweet way to include them in your special day. Either having candles on the table or surrounding the table is a thoughtful and beautiful display.

7. Beach Theme

Fill these cylinder vases up with sand & seashells for a beach theme wedding.  Adding a candle to the top of the sand is also a gorgeous option and is extremely safe considering sand is used to put out fires!

8. Twinkle Lights

Twinkle Lights or "Fairy Lights" add a bit of sparkle to the night. Having these run down the tables is one of the most common uses in wedding décor, but filling a cylinder vase with these twinkle lights is absolutely stunning. Most fairy light run on battery, so these power on their own and you don't need to worry about the power source.

9. Flowers

Use the cylinder vases, as vases! Keep your flowers fresh all day and enjoy the aroma of the freshly cut flowers.

10. Floating Bouquet

Don't like the look of the flower stems showing through the vase in option 9? Here's a unique work around! Fill the cylinder vase with water. Have the bouquet created into floral foam to place on top of the vase. This creates the illusion that the bouquet of flowers is floating. This is also a work around when using artificial flowers in your wedding centerpieces.

11. Floating Flowers

Placing a single stemless flower in a cylinder vase filled with water, is another simple but elegant centerpiece and decor option. Certain types of flowers work better than others for this design, such as sunflowers, lilies, carnations, snapdragons, and roses. These also look great inside fishbowl vases and pumpkin vases.

12. Bride's Bouquet

Cut down the cost of florals by using your bouquet as the centerpiece for the sweetheart table at your reception. This keeps your bouquet fresh and keeps it from being set down and potentially damaged.

13. Bridemaid's Table

Along the same lines as the bride's bouquet, reuse the flowers as centerpieces! Whether its a head table or a bridesmaids table, having a designated space for bridesmaids to place their bouquets is extremally appreciated. If groomsmen are separated from the bridesmaids, make sure to either have bouquets made for their table centerpieces to match the bridesmaids, or have vases marked for some bridesmaids to place their flowers on the groomsmen side.

14. Woodland Theme

Incorporate moss, rocks, tree bark and crystals into your aisle decor or centerpieces by using hurricane vases. Creating mini terrariums to line your aisle for your forest wedding would be magical. If you are planning a themed wedding, using these terrariums to subtly create themed scenes on each table could be a special touch to your day.

15. Desert Theme

Getting married in the desert? Let's take the terrarium idea from number 14 and mix it with number 7's beach theme.  Fill the vase with sand, and create a cactus or succulent terrarium. Fish bowls, pyramids, and jugs are also great ways to display these centerpieces or aisle decor.
